Slow Fashion

What do we mean by slow fashion?

Slow fashion is an approach to fashion production and consumption that focuses on sustainability, ethics and quality. In contrast to "fast fashion", which relies on rapid production and frequent changes of goods, slow fashion places emphasis on long-lasting garments, fair working conditions and environmental friendliness:

  • Quality over quantity : Slow fashion brands focus on creating high-quality garments that are durable and can be worn for a long time. Less is more!
  • Fair trade and ethics : Slow fashion brands value fair working conditions along the entire supply chain. They ensure that workers are paid fairly and work under safe conditions.
  • Local production : Some slow fashion brands prefer local production to reduce environmental impact and support the local economy.
  • Less waste : Slow fashion encourages more conscious consumption by buying less and wearing more often and for longer.
  • Handmade & made to order : Slow fashion is often made by hand and produced to order to avoid the use of large machines and factories. The lack of a large warehouse means there is no overproduction with outdated models or surplus goods.
